- Wind Turbine Blade for Flatcar and Spine Car loads. 111.6' in length. Models by Dave Cast resin requires putty with acetone smoothing and painting. The end cap is from a Testors cement tube. The blade supports are bashed from styrene. Made turbine support columns from medicine bottles... cast a hub from a Walthers iron car and glued it onto a twinkle-candle light base. No plan for making the Turbine motor casing. The 'real' ones seem to be about 150' as they overlap across a 89' car, rather than meet on a 50' car.
Herpa HO 158619 Wind Turbine Complete With 12 V Motor And Lights Kit (Over 43 Inches tall! and yet the blades are not as long as the cast resin ones:( ) yeah and good luck finding one in stock... tho i did and it seems Reynaulds has some. See the video at the link below.
There are small ones from Kibri 17 5/8", O scale from Lionel powered 15.5", Faller [FAL130381] powered 13 3/16" and a [FAL232251] powered 16 11/32", Tomix solar powered ~12.5" These are the given sizes - do not know if it is to the top of the tower or to the top of the blade.

- Herpa HO Wind Turbine ... as RTR as possible - twist and lock the tower to the head and the blades .. plug in to electric power
- Model Power Windmill .. got two on sale, video describes the kit - it includes a motor and i added lights etc.
- ... maybe a Faller powered, nope, ordered a solar powered clone from EBay.

- Bachman 380 ton transformer car load is not much larger than what is on an Athearn Heavy Duty 8 axle flatcar. Athearn heavy duty flat car load ~10cm and Bachmann schnaebel load are ~11cm, the Bachmann is taller, but on a depressed center it come out about the same height as the Athearn. Bachmann depressed flat car with Transformer load and Walthers Transformer kit are < 5cm

- Making the mounts and tie downs for the transformer is still TBD.... The transformer is 4.5 inches long
