wikipedia Stryker info (8 wheeled) versions: Hhmmm well, actually these are LAV vehicles... made by Trident they are HO scale and come in OD green and have many small parts to be glued on. So a camo pattern-color and assembly is in order. These are ~$12 while the Stryker are ~$50 .. i will wait for that price to drop. There are 1/35 scale available for that price range and in all the variations.
Seems like the Stryker vehicles have a Mobile Gun System (MGS)[105 mm cannon-turret], Mortar Carrier (MC)[seems normal except it has a mortar inside and a big hatch], Anti-Tank Guided Missile Vehicle (ATGM)[a TOW missile system bolted to the top], and all the rest are really the same with slightly different components installed.. number of radios etc...

Size comparison
HO M1 length: 3.5", 1/72 M1 4.5" A 1/72 scale Stryker is in the back with an HO scale 1/87 LAV in front. There is an HO guy with red shirt and blue pants to the right - amongst the huskier 1/72 scale troops.

Stryker started out light small and fast... added armor etc made them fat dumb and slow... M113 and M2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle are tracked vehicles. All are to be replaced by Ground Combat Vehicle ...unknown if they will be wheeled or tracked... they are not even designed yet ... just a list of wishes-requirements. As of March 2013 it looks like they are tracked vehicles now... and then they will need something small and fast and wheeled ...
