Due to the size of the Amazonian Warriors the boxcar-hoppers are going to be crowded. The 6 Land-mechs are crowded and they are smaller than the Warriors. Riding around in an open hopper would seem to be some kind of torture, the land-mechs are 'on-duty' in their protective armor. ... need to make a modified covered hopper for the On-Duty squad. ...

boxcars with opening doors are getting hard to find since Athearns stopped making blue box kits :(
Might end up having them ride around in hoppers... Nope, get RTR from Bachman : the Silver series are great... 40' (tooo heavy -need to cut the steel plates and have them only be at the ends of the boxcars) and 50' (a little light -the Warriors will make it more than Heavy). EBay sometimes has Athearns kits ... the Double Door boxcars seem to be ideal : Twice the opening size (as long as they are boxcars that have doors that open) :) Accurail also has Double Door boxcars and they are still in production. ...gotta change the wheels and couplers on Accurail and old Athearns blue box kits tho :( Accurail kits are not made to be opening doors. I glue a 0.06" x 0.06" strip to the top and bottom rails as spacers, then glue 0.04" x 0.125" strips to the top and 0.03" x 0.125" strips to the bottom to keep the doors from falling out.
