Inside the floodloader

- Base
- The floodloader is a 2' x 6" plastic pipe. Inside is a 6" funnel on top of the normal flood loader parts - a gate and the vertical lift chute. All this on a wooden frame that the train drives through and activates 3 sensors that signal the Arduino to Open the gate and lower the chute, Close the gate, Raise the chute. On the outside of the pipe is a Reddy Killowatt sign lit with Electroluminescent panels made by Miller Engineering.
Electronics front, back
- Electronics
- Arduino mini powered with 6 volt wall wart so the servos can be driven from power rather than Arduino.
- 6 buttons mounted in a coal hopper [Gate open-close, Funnel Up-down, Autorun start, Emergency stop-reset], 2 servos: Gate and Funnel, 4 led to signal different operations, 3 light detectors across track for automation.
